Amp hissing

I noticed today that my sub amp has a hiss. I gets quieter as the amp warms up, but definitely noticeable when I turn the truck on. Is this a sign of something failing or another cause? All wiring is secure and ground is to bare metal on the frame.

is it the amp, or the speakers? if its the amp its probably just the transformer depending how loud it is. but ive seen bad output fets cause the exact same thing if they're broken and acting like a diode and not a gate

It’s the amp. No sound coming through speakers.

probably an internal component is blown honestly.. it sounds like its loud enough to sound significantly off so if thats the case i would guess there's definitely a problem

what amp? i wont rag on you if its boss, or whatever, i just want to give you advice on whether its worth repairing or not

No boss. DDm1c. Thinking about maybe Banda Ice1600. Need something smaller than 14 in. Long

That might work. That’s a lot of headroom but I’m sure I’ll get rid of my tw3s at some point.

or the dsp 3k, up to you. after rise you'll have just the right amount of power if you set the subsonic right and dont clip

No dsp needed, I have a bit 10. $300 for the HD3000 is really cheap. Thanks for the info
