alright, so long story short, i have downs and i didnt put a fuse on my power wire and i fucked up my amp kinda, its not completely blown, it still goes on but one lights on top doesn't go on and it isnt pushing my sub like before at all. Its an AP1500 so does anyone know if i can get it fixed somewhere or should i just invest in a new amp or what. suggestions are appriciated.

is it in overload protect or overheat protect? also the power fuse is to protect your car from catching on fire if there's a short in the power wire, not really to protect the amp. Amp fuses and protection circuitry handle amp protection.

it doesnt go into protect. the power light still goes on. there arent any fuses on the amp itself. its that on the top of the amp when it goes on, theres a light that says "Audiopipe" and above that one that says "1500Watts". The "1500Watts" one doesnt go on anymore. and i can tell the amps not putting out as much power as before, and im just trying to figure out whats wrong.

Don't those amps come with an inline fuse holder? If so, why didn't you just use it? So output has lowered, a light won't turn on, and wiring has not changed in any way before this happened? If so, definitely go through all your setting in the HU and amp to make sure nothing changed. Take a DMM and see what voltage is reaching the amp. Take the DMM and meter the speaker terminals on the amp to determine the output(measure this in AC voltage). Then report back.

i bought it off someone on this site, and it was just the amp and base nob. nope, all the settings on my amp and hu are the same, it just quit working as well one day and i had no idea what happened. ill do that hold on.

Heres a list of things to check first off.

1: Check your ground wire for clean and tight connections.

2:Unplug the rca jacks from the amp does your power light on the amp still come on?

3: if all that checks fine with the amp off set your digital multimeter to DC voltage and place red probe on amps positive terminal and black on amps ground terminal WHATS the voltage? Then power your amp up with it on place red probe on amps positive terminal and black on amps negative terminal whats the voltage with it on??
