I have a Soundstorm F2600 amp and it overheats on me all the time and i'm really tired of it. I've been reading that soundstorm amps arent that good and i was just wondering if i should just get another amp or wat
Check your ohm load...they are cheap amps but perform decent...They are not made to play below rated ohm load...2 ohms stereo or 4 ohm mono //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Also make sure you have a good strong ground...If your vehicle is a unibody...you'll need to run a 8ga from the battery to the amp on the ground and also ground to the body...You'll need a 4 ga. min on your power wire....
not all installations are professional...just because it was done in a shop....I fix stuff for friends all the time...wired by so called professionals in Car Stereo shops....If it was done right it wouldn't be over heating //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
lol true well see the thing is is that i have no clue wat im doing or wat wires are wat i mean i could prolly figure it out but i dont wanna mess ne thing up and how i do i check wat ohms are being used and that stuff
yeah wires can play havoc on a system if something is done wrong...I've seen a many of amps fried because someone didn't undo a fuse when disconnecting it......all they did is accidentally touch the screw driver to the case of the amp for a split 2nd undoing wires....
