i have a logic soundlab plx28 amp that is powering 2 12" sony xplods. when i have both subs hooked up to the amp it seems like there is no bass(literally). but when there is only one sub hooked up there is PLENTY of bass. so it seems that the one sub that is hooked up is making better use of the power than when both of them are hooked up right? so would an amp that puts out more power solve that problem

Are you sure you aren't connecting one of the subs out of phase? That would kill the output when both are playing.

like how? having the left or right sub connected to the opposite channel

you're having a cancellation problem maybe you have a inverted sub (wiringwise)

check and make sure your wires are on the right terminals inside the box and on the amp
