amp help please

A while back i bought subs and an amp. Right when i got them i tested them out and everything worked fine. Yesterday i tried to play some music with them hooked up for the first time in a month and the subs wouldnt play anything. The amp still powers on just no sound from the subs. What are some reasons why this would happen? i guess i couldve blown something during the install but if i did that im not sure the amp would even turn on. I got a new HU since I tested them the first time so maybe there a setting in the HU thats turned off? Maybe theres a fuse blown somewhere? Any help would be great... Thanks!

yeah about that... Im supposed to probe the + and - speaker outputs right? i tried that and get the same reading with different gains

yeah, are you using AC current selection? or DC? needs to be AC volts

yeah 200v AC should be fine. you're getting the same numbers constantly? something isn't right

well how do i probe them? just touch the probes to the screw?

screw the leads down in the speaker terminals, and adjust the gain and see if the numbers change. they should...

are your rcas connected to the HU and the AMP?

i just tested the output on the DMM and it was changing with the bass but it was at like .4 and .5 ansted of the 55 or 60 its supposed to be at

is there any reason the amp would be putting out such low voltage

UPDATE::: i plugged my ipod straight to the amp and it worked like its supposed to so the problem lies either in the head unit or betweeen the HU and the amp. Im supposed to have the RCAs connected to SUB out on the HU right?

cheak the stereo to see if it has a subout on/off option
