Hi

I have a JL Audio 12w6v2 with JL Audio 500/1 Amp.

I used to have a JL Audio 250/1 with the w6v2 and worked perfectly, I decided to upgrade the amp.

I bought the amp used from a local seller.

I hooked everything up and the Amp powers on and everything but there is nothing coming out of the Subwoofer.

I have double checked my wiring over and over and even went to best buy to check ( couldn't figure out the problem)

I am running a 8awg power from battery to the amp, ground from car chassis to amp, remote and rca cable from headunit ( Ida-x001 ) to amp and + & - wire from amp to subwoofer.

Everything worked fine the night before ( when I had the JL Audio 250/1 installed )

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks!

Update:

I noticed that the sub does get something but VERY little ( you can feel the sub move little bit )

Could it be that the amp is not getting enough power even though the power light turns on?

Should I upgrade to 4gauge powercable?

Check the gain on amp, "Input Voltage" switch... Make sure "Signal Sensing" is set to off. Almost certainly the amp is blown. Green light has nothing to do with powering up in JL slash series amps, it just indicates that amp is getting power and remotely turned on.
