Amp has no power

well its not my amp its my friends .. his system recently shut off .. he thought it was the remote wire .. he rechecked everything it still didnt work. He then thought it was the amp so he went to the place and got a replacement. It still doesnt work. He has checked all wiring he is stumped on what it could be.

You definitely need a multimeter to trace this problem, IMO. You could do it without, but it's waaaay too much hassle.

$3 at Harbor Freight.

could be a faulty power wire, happened to me before. Somewhere within my power cable I had a short or something, not sure what happened, but I bought a brand new line or 1/0 power cable and everything worked again. if he can afford some small power cable to test that, its always worth a shot, or just buy a voltmeter =P
