Amp going into protection

I just got my system installed yesterday, after bumpin it a bit, my amp went into thermal protection. At first I thought it was a fuse (i had a 150 amp) then I switched it to a 250 amp.

I touched the amp and it was really hot, I saw the light on the bottom say THERMAL. It is because my loss of voltage? I've been having a real big problem with power which i'm trying to upgrade it asap.

AMP: MTX TA81001

SUBS: 2 12" MTX 9500's DVC4

Final load on the amp is 1 ohm, and it is 1 ohm stable.. HELP PLZ!!

you may have fried it man...check all your fuses? ground?

no, it turns back on, but once i keep pounding again it shuts off

i still have factory warranty on it, and it says its 1 ohm stable..

how much are you trying to get from it at 1ohm? that shit's probably very inefficient so if you're trying to get every drop, it's gonna get dam hot

i'm not trying to get every drop, the gain isn't even all the way up. gains were set properly. I knw its going to get hot, but hot enough for it to go into protection?

Just to make sure, how do you know the gains were set properly? Did you set them? If so, how?

Here it says fusing should be 4x40 or 160a.Are you blowing the fuses on the amp or the power wire?

maybe try a different ground location. i had the same problem. once i relocated my ground everything was legit.

I didn't set the gains, the guy who made my box set them.

Would it because of all the power i'm losing? When i'm pounding i'm around 11.2 volts.
