Amp going into protection mode

But as for a water cooling system. I was thinking that If I keep my amp out of sight, I could run something that like you put into computers. You pretty much just coil a tube of water around the main compents that heat up and it helps disapate(sp) the heat from them. Was thinking about working something like this, but Ill just have to try a blower first. Off to learn how to hook these up now.

lol, and if it leaks?

Well, its used by hardcore computer geeks fairly often from what I understand. And I've never heard of a problem from them.
Here's something kinda like what I meant. http://www.casecooler.com/thbigwa745ki.html

But I dont think im going to do it. Too much shit to worry about going wrong and what not.
I know it is, but those computers sit in a nice comfortable house and hardly ever move. You would be putting that kit into an amp that is being subjected to changing weather and the extreme vibrations from your sub/s

Yeah, thats mainly what I was thinking, the subs breaking some of the components and what not. If I could build an isolated sub rack though, that would be killer. That'll be a while though. This setup isnt quite worthy of such.

i had an amp do that to me....and it was going into the mode because it was receiving low power from my batteries and it would shut it down.....may want to check into that.....

Water cooling units that you can move have just been getting popular. And in the PC world, moving means you pick up your tower, carefully move it somewhere while it is off, then re-hook it up once it is still again. I am one of those computer geeks and I know that these setups can be very useful for cooling very hot components. I also know that my PC is substantially safer than my trunk. If done properly it would be very possible, but it would have to be done hella well to look remotely good and work the way it was intended. Quite a bit more expensive than the rack/blower idea as well.
