amp going into protect

this is driving me wild.. I have a fusion amp for my highs..i know its not the best amp but it gives me the loudness i want..ive traced all the wires, completely rewired everything..i have it in a parallel wiring setup. its a 2 channel 2-4ohm stable amp..i have the front speakers hooked to one channel and the back speakers hooked to the other channel..they are all brand new infinity kappa component speakers.....now for the problem...for the life of me i cant figure out why when i play rock music after a minute of playing a song the amp goes into protect..an it does it at different volumes it doesnt have to be loud for it to go into protect..but i can blare rap music as loud an long as i want an the amp will never cut out or anything..I dont get it..any help PLEASE!!!!

Hmm, that is not a good way to do things because you lose your stereo separation.

I see another problem here.... Most of the newer Infinity speakers are 2 ohms which means you are presenting a 1 ohm stereo load to your Fusion amplifier. I bet it is hot enough to cook hot dogs on it.

Because rap music doesn't have a lot of highs like rock does. It seems like an overcurrent or thermal protect. :\

could you help me out..How should i wire the speakers..the fronts are 6.1 kappa perfects that came with tweeters.but the tweeters are wired into the crossover as well as the actual speakers.than the cross overs are wired to the amp..an the back speakers are just infinity kappa 6x9 wired directly to the amp
