amp going into protect mode

when I turn on my switch for my amp it goes into protect mode then the LED turns off then the power LED comes on, is that normal? It works fine but i was just wondering if that means something is wrong or if thats just the procedure amps do before powering on?

so as soon as the amp turns on the red light (protect) is illuminated, but then it switches to blue (or whatever color) and comes on? I've seen that in many amps from different manufacturers, it's part of the "boot up" process.

I can't necessarily say with certainty thats what yours is doing, but i've seen it.

Only way to know if it's normal for your amp to do that is ask the manufacturer or distributor.
