Amp going into protect mode

I was experiencing my Orion HCCA-D5000 amp going into protect mode if played for a few seconds at 3/4 volume before i set my gains with a DMM. But, while I was doing that with a 50hz sine wave it began doing it again. I was shooting for

Also, I set it around 46-47V, but now the amp is still going into protect if it even comes close to reaching 3/4 volume. Any ideas??

bad ohm load for it? low voltage due to short or cracked fuse?

its at 1 ohm on a 1 ohm stable amp. voltage seems ok.. yellow top under hood, 93ah battery out back 0/1 gauge big 3 and stock 135A alternator it shouldnt be stressing it out too much

I had a similar problem like that once, and I found out it was because I still had the factory amp connected to the HU.

I will check into that but I believe that I had to bypass it in order to install the cd player in the first place
