I have been searching for an answer of why my amp is constantly switching to protect mode. I have my 2x-dual 4ohm kicker L5's running at 1 ohm off my BXi1206d hyphinics amp and I'm am gonna change it so they are running at 4 ohm see if this fixes the issue.

Every time i turn my head unit past 20 out of 35 on volume or turn my gain remote past half my amp switches to protect mode.

I have been told it could be that my amp is faulty or one or both of my subs could be blown, but the sound still sounds good a little high but still good. However i have recently noticed a strange noise when the bass isn't hitting sounds kind of like a high pitched frog. This to me suggest the amp but i was hopin someone out there could offer me a different possiblity that i could try and fix before i try and get my amp repaired and save me some cash.

This is my current wiring-

Main battery - power cable - fuse - power cable - Hc600 powercell - power cable - amp

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. i have gone to the local car audio sales store and he has recomended me to switch the impedience level to 4 ohm and says this could be the only other problem other than i have damaged equipment. he has checked the wiring and all the volts and amps says everything is ok .... Plz help

If this is a D Class amp, you most likely have a blown capacitor on the output filter circuit just before the speaker output terminals inside the amp. The capacitor and inductor work together to filter out noise from the Class D switching. Sounds like some of your "noise" is getting past the filter, I would check the filter first since it's easy to spot a blown cap usually.

Actually if you notice the noise when the bass is not pounding, it could well be a blown power supply filter cap. Easy to spot if you open it up, will be paper or foil and maybe some oil all over the place from the blown cap... They get overheated and swell up, and too much voltage will make them go bang! The amp will still run with a blown filter cap, but may act funny and make funny noises like you are talking about.
