Amp Goes in protect mode...

My kicker amp goes into protect mode and then comes out and goes back in....like every 3 seconds it goes into protect mode then comes out....I took all the wires out minus the ground, remote and power and it still did it. I took the amp out and opened it up and found a little piece that was loose and not soldered down good, if I solder that and that isn't the problem what should I check next? I already checked power and ground and know both are good because the power and ground is the same on my kicker amp as on my mmats amp and the mmats plays my sub all day long with no problems. They both go into a distribution block and come out of that and directly into the amp...less than 3 feet of wire from the block to the amp. If somehow the amp is messed up what amp could I replace it with that isn't over $300? The kicker amp is a 650.4 also.

try and solder it, but make sure you know what your doing. i would say check your wires again, and make sure there are no cuts of shorts

well the amp took a shit and took 2 of my speakers with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. One of the front 6.5's and one of the 5.25's in the back. So now im not sure what I am going to do as far as speakers and amp goes. I just put all the factory speakers back in for now. I think I might use my A/D/S Pq20 as an amp and just get some crossovers for it and look for some new components.
