Amp Fuse blowing

So the fuse blows as soon as you connect the pos/neg wires, ...make sure is the correct battery, and not a higher voltage, otherwise you've connected the neg/pos round wrong way, check battery end and connections on the amp, also make sure the amp is on a grounded surface...otherwise could be an internal amp problem.

Im trying to install my new subs and amp, and i have everyhting hooked up like it says it needs to be, but everytime i put in the fuse then connect the power wire, the fuse blows, its the right size fuse that came with it origionally, help me.....
if it blows instantly, without the car being on, theres a short in your power wire.

Yep....sounds like your power wire is shorted....Are you using a cap? If you are make sure to charge it (slowly) first and then connect your power leads. Amp COULD be shorting to ground (even with the car off), however this is doubtful. Disconnect both ends of the power cable and use a DVM to measure resistance between ground (car body) and the freshly disconnected power wire (make sure the ends of the cable are not touching the car body at ALL). If you measure anything besides infinite resistance you have a short to ground in your power wire.
