amp fried? or am i dumb

my amp stoped working... it went into protection mode but every like 3 or 4 seconds it goes green for like half a second and the sub hits when its green... i only have the ground/power/and turn on wire hooked up... am i doing something wrong or is it time to buy a new amp:crying: ...thanks for your help

its a power acoustik lt980 and i had two 8 0hm subs in a series with the amp bridged... but then one of the subs blew so i played with just one sub and then it just stoped playin... and went into protection mode

You cant, if it is a single 8ohm sub.

If they are 8 ohm subs, parellel would bring then to a 4 ohm load. That amp is bridgable at 4ohms right?
