The dc 2k is a good choice as well. Very efficient

video of amp doing 3k at 2 ohm with only 2 4 guage inputs seen this do 5k at 1 ohm dual 100 amps, not going to be a 5k amp according to you. Also how do the old Orion amps only come with 30 amp fuses and put out 800 plus rms. I personally would get a mmats amp over sundown, audioque, crescendo etc. But they are just too expensive for my taste.

lol, I did see 3k for about 1/2 second before it shut down...out of a 4k amp...clipped or not is anyone's guess, And yes, I can see a 5k burp on dual 100a fuses.......and I am sure you understand the Orions you refer to were rated at 50watts x 2 @ 4....and back then, the guys I knew running them at .5 or .25 @ 800 - 1000w did not run any fuses, or they were modified....some straight up cheater amps from when 12v 4 ohm rated power determined the classes.

I will stick with the assumption that the Mmats M2000.1D is a overpriced "meh" 1k amp with good dynamic headroom capability. There is still no comparison to the Orion HCCA 25001 you can buy today..not even in the same league.

3k at 2.2 ohm buddy. And what do you think the clamps of sundowns etc do. Just give up on this. Mmats is top if the line
