amp for w7?

Basically I am not happy with the selection of amps to use with my 12w7. that single 3 ohm VC really sucks. i don't want the 1000/1 because i heard it draws a ton of current, and i am planning on keeping my stock alt (140 amp). i don't want the PG amp because I just don't like how it looks, and their quality is sketchy to me. i don't mind spending some money, but i don't want to break the bank.

can anyone recommend something for me?

i had an sx600.2 runnin my 12W7. alittle underpowered..but sounded so good. i still got it and wouldnt mind letting it go if you really wanted it. was savin it for the gf's jeep but..screw it.

i know u have never heard of them but X-File audio has some nice DURABLE A$$ amps...... i've yet to meet someone who has used or heard of this amp... they are not out there but they are good.... i have a 1200Dcclass mono powering my 12 cvx at 1 ohm and it delivers.... never overheated on me even though i push it hard, and its been through 3 systems 2 of my homeboys n now i got it, my friend regrets selling it to me cuz its just DURABLE and gives enough power, and they are not that expensive, check it out http://x-fileaudio.com/productlist.php?type=11

i have the XR1200D u should give it a try.... i guarantee u wont be dissappointed... i found mine online for like 145 not too bad imo.. u just have to find a place that has em.... i've have only found 2 places online. perhaps thats y they are not well known

when i had one i gave it around 750 and the thing really moved i used a MTX7801

the xenon amps that you refer to as having sketchy quality only applies to the origianl run of the amps as ther was a power supply defect that was fixed fairly quickly. the xenon line actually only had a failure rate of about 2%,(including the original run) which is alot lower then most lines i have seen

i have and still own several xenon amps and the 1200.1 will put out 1300rms daily without batting an eye and without even getting warm

hrmm I didn't know that ^^ how are they on current draw? and whats a good price on the 1200.1? i saw one in the classifieds for like $400 (i think) and i don't think that they are worth that. what about the JBL GTO1200.1. i can probably get 900-1000 watts out of it, and i already have a JBL for my components. i wish the BPx wasn't so f'n expensive.

Check out Zapcos. I had a AG1000 running my W7 and it whalled.

Zapco is going to be big money. Same price range as the BPx that you say is too much.

1500 watts should be good for the w7.

try 2000watts or a modded amp and report back..
