I had two type R 12s each in 2.1cu ft ported to 30hz running off of an mrd-m1005 and it rattled my brain, I would look for a directed 1100d or viper d1200.1

definatly dont feed them less than 500 a piece. Like already said, get a orion 1200 or viper 1200 or something of the like. Also, yes get a bigger box. Shoot for 2.0-2.5 PER SUB. You will be very happy.

no to steal your thread or anything but i have a similar question.... i got 2 dual 4 12" R and the mrd-1005 running to them in a 1 cube each is that too little?

Check my sig. Need 2-2.5 cubes per and 500+ watts per sub. I may still be underpowering mine a bit, but it works great for now.

i built 5 cubes @ 34 for my 2 type r's (2 ohms) powered by a jbl 1201.1. is that a good setup? will i be giving them enough power? and the 05 and 06 type r's are the ones that like the bigger boxes correct? thanks
