AQ1200D=870 @2ohmlooking for a good, but not too expensive amplifier for a 15" sdc2.5
yeah thats what i am thinkin. i am helping a buddy out with a loud new set up.. and i dont wanna go as far as the HDC3, for his electrical is stock. but i have heard a few good things about the sdc2.5's what kind of box would the 15" like. or possibly a pair of 15"?AQ1200D=870 @2ohm
I like 3.5-4.0 net cubes per sub ported @ 37-40Hz.yeah thats what i am thinkin. i am helping a buddy out with a loud new set up.. and i dont wanna go as far as the HDC3, for his electrical is stock. but i have heard a few good things about the sdc2.5's what kind of box would the 15" like. or possibly a pair of 15"?
Holy snap I missed that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif lol well lets go with the power question //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gifwhat do you think "per sub" means
Depends on the user. Will a 2.5 inch coil handle 1000 rms 24/7.........no. But if you understand this, and use common sense, you can have a 1000 rms potential hooked to this sub, and be a happy camper. I've been running the SD2.5c 12 on an AQ 2200 at 2 ohms since DJ first got the SD2.5c's in, and I haven't had any problems. The additional power on tap does a couple things. 1. It will let you run all the continuous power the sub will handle, while the amp is not working it's guts out. What does this mean to you........well the THD of the amp is lower at 75% of it's potential than it is at 95 or 100% of it's potential...which means better SQ. 2. You have that extra power on tap if you want to show off for a short period. As long as you realize that the woofer isn't going to take the amp at full tilt 24/7 you should be O.K having 1000 rms on tap. If you do run that much power, realize 1 thing up front.......DJ ain't gonna warranty it if you fugg it up.Now considering how well the HDC3 handles power, would the sdc2.5 handle a clean 1000rms or would that be much?
but the fs is as low as 32 hz. really go as far as 37hz??? would 34hz be sufficient? or is 37-40 really the sweet spot...like the hdc3??I like 3.5-4.0 net cubes per sub ported @ 37-40Hz.
