Can't be ****** ;)
I'm buying iceteebones RL-ps(dual 4 ohm), but in order to do so I must get rid on an amp(s). I will more than likely put them in a box between 1-1.25 cubes net sealed, should be about 1.2. I have 2 SS rubicon 1000-2s(1000 watts rms at 2 ohms each) or a kx1200 (rated at 1400@1 ohm). I have heard many say that 600 watts is more than enough and some that swear by giving it 1kw each.

I believe Ice said his got pretty dam loud off of about 1400 watts, but that was in a ported box.

I would like to go with the single amp, but dont know if I would acheive full output with it.

Any help from past/present rl-p owners would be greatly appreciated.

If you haven't owned/heard an rl-p, please state that if posting.

Thx.

Ice just told me he would do 1.5 cubes sealed each with the kicker....I could manage that as well. ne1 else? I see some rlp owners online //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I have been thinking of going ported right around that number as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif. Right around 3.5 net @32 for the pair. I just wanna make sure I have enough/more than enough power on tap if I do decide to seal em //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Have you tried em sealed? also what does the md22 put out?

ive got 2 rlps in 1.5 cubes apiece so 3 cubes total off an Orion 1200D, and I get plenty of output, Flexes glass and the rear wall of my single cab.
Another vote for the kicker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. These will be in an extended cab tacoma.

I was in the same boat as you a couple of months ago. I was concerned that the output would be lacking in a sealed enclosure, but boy was I wrong. It flexes the back glass in my truck a good bit, and moves a lot of air for a sealed setup.

i have tried them sealed, althogh, i personally dont like the lowend all that much. IMO ported is the way to go, although you do lose some of the "tightness" of the bass when ported.

as for the MD22 it , it puts out 800wx1@4 or 2ohms
