amp for one alpine type r 12

hey guys i have an alpine type r 12 (4 ohm) and i really need help picking out an amp for it. i was looking at the alpine mrv-m500 since it is 500 wrms at 2 ohm and my my sub is 500 watts rms. just wondering if you guys think that would be a pretty good setup or if you guys have any better suggestions, i would like to stay in the $200 price range thanks for the help guys!

Go with a hifonics gladiator line brz line or hfi or brutus you wont go wrong and its under 200 look on amazon , audiosavings.com , savinglots.com , woofersetc.com or sonicelectronics .com good luck bro , I got a hfi 1500d its 500@4 , 1000@2 ,and 1500@1 its great clean power jus make sure your electrical is up to par , or I even had a power acoustik cpt1 line amp it was the 2000 watt but I was only getting 736rms it would be perfect for it and its only around 100 bucks and you can run stock electrical

That alpine is a good amp. You must have one of the older Type R's if it's rated for 500. Must be 2 versions off the newest one. They were good subs. Always liked Type R's and the Alpine amps as well as the head units. You might want to look at something a bit bigger that will do 500 @ 2 ohm and maybe 1000 at 1 ohm. That way you'll have the extra headroom when you decide to upgrade (which you pretty much always do. Lol!)

yea it is one of the older ones and what amps would you recommend? i have 2 type r's in separate boxes but only using one right now because of space, so could you recommend an amp that i would be able to hook both up to if i wanted later on? thanks!
