Amp for my new s12l7 4ohm, HELP!!

I have a 12 inch L7 4ohm but i still need to decide which amp will be the best for my sub i have a 500$ budget give or take but i really want the best sound quality and bump i can get out of this sub. Thanks alot for the help im struggling but i was thinking Jl mono 1/1000 but my freind said 4 ohms dont work with mono amps. Thats why im so confused. Im not set on that amp I want your opinion on what the best one would be. thanks

well he lied, i believe the jjl 1000/1 is rated at 4 ohms if im not mistaken.

rockford T20001BD (my sister has 1 12 l7 running on this amp and it jams)

all around $500, the rockford is pricey but u can get it on ebay or somewhere for 500 or less...then again, what do i know

by 4 ohms, you mean dual 4ohm voice coils, right?

that means you wire to parallel and get 2 ohms.

for $500 you can get a quality amp that will do 1000W+ i think the kicker amps previously mentioned are a good place to start looking.

Tantrum does 1200.1 and is a sick amp supposibly 06's can take that shit like nothing.

I got a zx750 kicker, i like it i havent bumped it hard yet cuz cartunes said take it easy on the sub for the first week or so. thx for the help guys
