amp for mtx 7500 12's?

i got two mtx 7500 series 12's do you think a rockford power t1000bd amp is to much for these subs?

also anyone know exactly how much these subs can really handle?

are your subs single or dual voice coil. looks like that amp can power or over power those subs depending on your voice coil configuration. eather u have 2 dual 4 ohm and wire down to 1ohm, carefull on the gains here. or u got the single 4 ohm and u wire down to 2ohms and SLIGHTY under power em! the subs handle 400 watts each, but im sure they could handle a bit more!!!

Those subs should take that power, be easy on the gain though.

I have a Planet Audio TT-1250D that I am selling, if you are interested. It will do 1250w @ 1 ohm....

My bro ran an old school power bd1000 to two 10" 7500. They laughed at that power. Do you have the single 4 ohm ones?

if they are dual 4's then yes

if they are single 4's then yes.

they will take the power just fine.

MTX voids warranty over 1600RMS tho.

Talk to tooslowtogo. He's likes to build about 5 different boxes for his 4 7500's a week. Oh yea, that amp should work fine...just watch your gain setting.

My 8500 12 laughed my JBL 1200.1 when I was running it at 4 ohm. I was throwing anywhere from 600-750 watts at it. It could take more. Loved those d*mn subs

nothing untill next year. hopefully this will be the last one.

show is on sunday, so hoping to hit close to 150. if not then the (4) 12's cant retire. so more boxes to be built till they reach the 150 goal.

my 8500-12 needed a meager memphis 500D amp to get loud as shit

even with the gains at 3/4 it was dam loud....

So if your pumping 700+ into one great but its plenty but overkill

ya its the dual 4 an i got it wired to 1ohm. i just wanted to make sure theat they could handle this cause i got a power t1000bd an the gains bout 3/4 way. so these subs should handle this power daily with no problem? the box on the subs said 400 rms but i heard the can handle more though but how much more?
