Amp for Memphis M3

I am about to buy 2 12' 4ohm Memphis M3 subwoofers. They are rated for 400rms watage, but i have hurd they can take 500.... so i plan to give each 500wats.

What should i do for a amp?

Right now I'm considering a JL1009/1, but i have hurd that there are other products out there with same quality or better w/o such a steep price.

Would it be better for me to buy e2 500 wat amps, or would it sound exactly the same as 1 1000 wat amp would split

If you have any imput on this matter please tell me.

Budget: No more than the JL1000/1 would cost new

go with a memphis 1000d man.......mine was only 385 shipped off ebay w/ a warranty and u would have all memphis........

the memphis1000d pushes 1000 wats @ 1ohm not 4... so that wouldnt work

Dual 4ohm i think. So you could jsut wire them down to 1ohm and send around 500watts to each, that amp should match .....

they come in single or dual. if you got the dual you could run them together at 1 ohm, with that memphis amp mentioned

Is any ohm better than another ohm.... like would it make a diff in sound... someone told me that the lower the ohm the easier it is to blow is that true

no it just gives u diffrent wiring configs. and with the dual 4 ohm with 2 of them u will wire down to 1 ohm
