Amp for components

[SMRHA]

I was just wondering if anyone has any opinion's on the following amps.

Cadence Z800 (175x2@4Ohms)

PG qx3502 (125x2)

DEI 2400 (125x2).

The Cadence and PG are both $209 at cardiscountstereos and the DEI is about $20 more. The amp will be for a set of Alpine Type-X 6.5" comps. They have an RMS 60w and 240w is the peak.

either will work.

Those comps are incredible...

any of those amps would seem to bea bit of overkill, but will get hose comps plenty loud..

just watch teh gains on em....

Thanks for the reply. Do you think I should maybe look at something in the 75-100w range instead? Glad you think those are good comps. Just went with my gut and bought them off ebay for $230+sh.

thsoe amps will be fine...

just watch your gains, dont try and push too much power to the comps...

its nice to ahve headroom...

Exactly...keep the gains at a respectable level - those amps may be a bit overkill for those components...but if you have the gains adjusted correctly they should be fine.

Let me know what your opinion of the tweeter is...I'm interested in other peoples opinions.

I was looking at that auction too but I havent found any recommended wattage ratings for those speakers. Anyone know them??

Thanks for the help guys. I tell you want I think of these when I'm all hooked up. Maybe I'll tame the power I want to give these a little. I saw a couple of nice 75x2 PPI amps.

Im poor so Im lookin at the Lanzar Optidrive amps. There is a 90x2 and a 150x2 But I cant find any power handling specs...
