Amp for Alpine Type-R?

Hey guys i'm looking for an amp to power a single Type-R 4ohm dvc so I need some advice.

So far I have my eyes set on these two

However, from the reviews of the kenwood it seems that it likes to overheat at 2ohms so im kind of weary about it.

What do you guys think? Any other recomendations?

I'm trying to keep costs around $135

the kenwood is good if your at 2 or 1 ohm it will slam that sub nice

Considering the 60 amp fuse rating on the Blaupunkt I would assume it would have a bit of an edge on the Kenwood(40amp fuse rating) as far as output goes. That sub will only wire down to 2 ohms so if you found an amp that does around 700@ 2ohms it would suit the R nicely for a daily setup.

Have you ever installed one of the newer Kenwoods at 1 ohm? I don't know if it is a fluke or not, but I have seen two of the newer Kenwood Class D amps thermal after 15 minutes of play at moderate volume. They may be 1 ohm capable, but they sure don't seem to like it:crap:

your being way to cheap, find a decent amp that puts out 700 watts @ 2ohms

Cadence TXA1000D. Some folks had good luck out of them, some havnt. The one that I used supplied sufficient power for me and never gave me a lick of problem.

They're not expensive at all, either. I sold mine used for 130 shipped in greattt condition.

I would recommend differently, but in that price range it's hard to find a decent quality amp with the power you need.

I used the previous version of this amp and it had a ton of power. It was built pretty good for the price both have alot of features, that and both of them are CEA-2006 rated as well.

Save a little more money and get a nice amp that will last, not those that might be dead before a year go.

the people over @ caf have 8 inch boners for any cadence amps. it's crazy.

Well I see that I should try and stretch the budget so if I was able to stretch it to around $180-200 what would you guys recommend?

no only the 7k series. so the new ones ****? I haven't ordered any til I unload the old 1's.

brutus 1208 but they are about 240 + online I can sell you 1 shipped for 235 with a real factory warranty. it will give you 900 rms so it is plenty.

for 200 buy a good name brand here in the classifieds used.
