Amp for a D9

Just got a Diamond audio D9 Dual 4 Ohm subwoofer. It can take 800 wrms and 1600 peak rms @ 2 ohms. I need to get an amp for it and I want some opinions. I'm thinking at least 900 wrms from the amp. Right now I'm leaning toward the Alpine MRD-M1005 (1000 wrms @2ohm) because of price (330 new from techtronics). Any thoughts? Should I be looking at Elemental Designs?
