If you can get to $150 there are some solid amps you could get.

It depends on the ohms of your speakers.

my subs are 2ohms i believe. lets say the amp I would get has a rating of "RMS Power at 2 ohms - 500W x 1", would I be fine?

i think there 4ohms, so you would want to run them at 2ohms-connect both positives of each speaker and both negatives and bring that to one channel of a mono block.

go to 12volt.com and do some research on sub wiring diagrams, theres also alot of other useful things to learn on that site

I think that is very low, You need a a little high budget to have quality in your parts.
