I was going to go with 8's because i don't care for thumping bass, i just want to hear it solidly in the back.
Part of me is taking your guys opinions into consideration because you've all done this before and whatnot.
Another part of me is saying that because my goals are different from most of your guys i could get away with getting those comps and amp for under 100 bucks and greatly improve my listening pleasure. I'm not trying to build a competition system here, im just trying to get some nice mids and high's out of the comps, and get some nice sq subs (assassins) and amp for the lower stuff. Bottom line is i don't really listen to a whole lot of rap/like to bump in my car... most great bass lines you would want to hear in songs are in the upper range, that's why i'm not worried about only getting 8's... is because i'm getting them more for the upper bass range. I'm definately not going to cheap out on the subs/that amp. But like i said above, my goals for these comps and amp is to get clearly better sound than you would ever get out of a factory set-up for reasonably cheap. Then when i upgrade later i can move those over to my secondary car.
