amp for 2 8inch assassins?

i'm looking to make a purely sound quality system aimed at bass that you'd hear from the who or red hot chili peppers, not mos def. What kind of amp setup would you guys recommend for two 8" assassins?

I'll have two component speakers up front and nothing in terms of 6 x 9's in the back (93 hatchbacks had rear speakers as a dealer installed option)

as of my limited knowledge i was thinking about a 4 channel amp, but know that wouldn't be the best for the bass sound i might want.

I've also heard a mono class d amp is the best for bass, but i'd rather keep it to two amps max between my whole system. thanks.

assuming theyre the older assassin's , anywhere from 200-400 a piece should do them good. if they are the older ones , theyre single 4 ohm. wire in parallel for a final load of 2 ohms. any mono block making ~350-800 wrms @ 2 ohms will be perfect.

I'm looking to do this project by christmas, so idk, they might be the new assassins, we'll see. But basically, while installing them the wires would just look like a Y? The top of the Y being the two subs and the bottom being the amp?

I don't know whether i'd like that one ZX as it doesn't have a cooling fan, i'd lean towards one of those to give me more options on mounting as i haven't really decided how i'm going to do it. I could mount the two amps on the walls of my trunk in the hatch, that would look pretty good.

I also don't know what comp's i'm going to go with yet because it's not going to be until early December once this semester is over.

I like the small amp with cooling fan, because i'll probably mount underneath the seat

all the reviews on the comps say that they're decent speakers, i mean bottom line they're comps, they're goign to sound better than 2 -way or 3-way.

Is this amp going to be decent with these speakers?

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful with the components, but I don't know what's best (but I do know that stuff you posted up is assploding crap). As far as your assassin amp, that Kicker amp is probably one of the best options you will have since you need solid power at 2 ohms.

so you havnt ordered the subs yet? the old assassins have the black basket and are single 4 ohm and the new come with the silver 12 spoke and are dual 4. someone correct me if im wrong. any reason youre going with 8's?

im sure i speak for most when i say stay away from audiobahn and boss gear. though the a-bahn may be decent you could get something more quality for the money. do you have a specific budget for comps/amp?

x2. i had a zx750.1 in my celica with no AC under my seat and never once did i have any issues with it. very solid amp for the price.

$60 is kinda cheap tho, and Audioburn makes decent amps, just poor sounding subs.

i have a pair of 12" alum q's in my girls accord and they actually sound decent.im only giving them 300wrms of thier rated 1000wrms and they get **** loud. however i would NOT give them what abahn rates them at.

Yeah I had a pair of 12" lowest level ABahns, and they made it with me for about 3 months and my buddy for about a year, so they lasted **** well. But they did not sound very good, but got okay loud in his hatchback.
