Amp for 2 8" solobarics

Hi I have 2 kicker l5 solobaric 8s going in two seperate sealed fiberglass boxes. Just wondering what a good for the money amplifier to push them would be thanks.

Yeah we need to know your voice coil configuration on the 8's whether dual 4 or Dual 2's to make a sugestion....But I'm thinking since you have kicker...a mono Kicker 1000 or 1200 would be a good choice.....

Hifonics BXi606 would be a good choice. Should give around 560-580w rms at 1 ohm.

I figured it would be a decent budget choice since you're only configuration options are the following:

600w rms at 1 ohm.

600w rms at 4 ohms.

2 x 300w rms at 2 ohms.

Thanks, I have had a hifonics bxi 1206d before and liked it so I will probably go with the one you said.

The speakers are rated at 300rms a piece why would I need more than 600 rms?

They can handle it if you want to give it. Those little L5's should be good for around 400w rms each of clean power. Besides, you can always get an amp that is rated higher than 600w rms and just set the gains with a DMM to only deliver 600w.
