Amp for 2 12's

I picked up the 12" subs from a friend, and I can't find a brand name on them (so i don't know wattage), but I am pretty sure that my current amp is under powering them. I am looking for an amp under $150, and it doesn't need to have that high of power (because I don't know how much the subs can handle), i was thinking ~500watts rms.

My current amp is a sony xplod 3/4 channel (I got it really cheap when I was first getting into car audio and now i want to upgrade). I looked on sony's website and they don't make the amp anymore, but I think it puts out 200 watts rms. It says 600 watts max, but I heard not pay attention to max ratings...

I rubbed my crystal ball, and I got nothing!

Without knowing simple things like voice coil impedance or RMS power handling, it is tough to suggest an amplifier.

ETA: If you think that Boss amplifier will give you 500 watts RMS @ 2 ohms, you are sadly mistaken!

Yeah, that's what I thought, but i figured I might as well ask. So I take it that boss isn't very good?

I found the RMS watts for the amp i have:

I don't have the details to help you guys help me find a specific amp for my subs, but can you can recommend that is better than this for under $150?
