1000 rms, 2000 peak for 2 subs (altogether)

don't know what amp should I get

I think that the amp has to be at least 4 ohms 1000 watts rms (altogether for both subs) but I don't know what I should get or should I try and find one that is around 1500 rms at 4 ohms

Ignore peak rating, completely.

you need an amp that will provide power at a 1 or 4 ohm load.

If yer subs are 1000RMS EACH, look for an amp that does 2k-2500RMS @ 1 or 4 ohms.

If you have 1000RMS total, look for an amp that does 1k-1500RMS @ 1 or 4 ohms.

There are a ton of options, it all depends on your budget.

Dual 4 ohm voice coils on 2 subs = 1ohm or 4 ohm.I'm using an Alpine PDX1.1000.That will handle the 4 ohm load{2 to 4 ohms] but will not be 1 ohm stable.I think Sundown amps have a 1000 watt amp that is 1 ohm stable.Hifonics "BRUTUS" line has an amp --1200 rms @ 1ohm for around $220.00.You .}might find it less expensive to wire your subs for a 1 ohm load than 4 ohm load. You might find it less expensive to go 1 ohm stable than 4 ohm stable.Alpine50...

You'll need an amp stable at one ohm. What's ur budget? I'd do the arc audio ks 1000.1. I have a friend who sells them for just under $400. And they retail for close to $700. Solid, clean, amp. Pm me if your interested.

I have 2 dual 4 ohms subs and I don't know if they could go down to 1 ohm like what it says in 2 DVC drivers with Voice Coils in Parallel / Parallel on the website

Yes they can, just follow the diagram. What subs are they so we can know if they'll actually handle the rated 1000wrms.

Get a hifonics amp, cheap, and you can get 1000krms @ 1 ohm, so it would be perfect for you.

perfect for you. If thats to expensive look for a used one in the classifieds.

This shows you how to wire them to a 1 ohm load.

I don't have a budget (well I just don't want to spend anything like $700 on an amp) I am just looking for a very good amp that can do 1000-1500 watts rms
