Amp for 12" type R

Yes.......IF the sub is 4 ohm dvc. If you have a 2 ohm dvc sub, you'll be wiring it to 1 ohm and that may damage your amplifier.
Take the sub out of the enclosure and post the model number, man. Seriously. Help us help you...
i had a 500d and it would do 1 ohm for awhile then go thermal. but it never died or even went in protect (Just thermal shutdown , LOL.) so even if he has a d2 sub his amp should be ok. OP if it gets hot enough to shut down stop running it and get a different sub or different amp.

Honestly i don't think its safe to use 80a fuses with a 75a amp idk though because i have never tried it anyone who has tried it who has blasted there music know if you can do it? And i want my sub to hit harder not, not as hard. Will freq make the lows hit better or not as good?
my mtx btp's call for twin 40 amp fuses but i have had 25 amp fuses in them for 5 years now and they still flex my body panels everyday.

Personally I think I would rather build my own. I can't say those are bad because I have never used them, but I can't say I find it worth it to spend $120 for a box that I can build for less than $50. But hey, that's just me.
not everyone has the tools etc 2 build a box, i was just saying, not to buy a box on ebay, id think it would be better to have one done locally or by yourself but to show the size difference and how these are tuned at 32hz and 30hz

Its definitely getting to hot now that i turned the eq all the way down and turned the freq up and gain up without freq and gain up it doesn't hit good but if i have it up then it shuts down from overheating. I need a new amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif any suggestionss in a reasonable price range?

Your amp is fine. It's a single type r 12 in a trunk? It's not going to rattle your brain, especially since you don't know what you're doing and probably don't have the gain set correctly.

WHAT! Not everybody has the tools to do it!?!?!?! That's why I said I would rather build my own. Never said anything about anybody else building their own. If you can do it, then do it. If not, then buy one or have someone build it.

I have a 10" dual 2 Type R and I am running a audiopipe 15001D with 4 gauge knu wire. It gets pretty loud and I know my enclosure isn't great (I am getting ready to build a new one). I have mine wired to 4 ohms. That is 1 option if your set on buying a new amp op.

When the freq is up and the gain is up yes it actually does rattle my brain lol. I have a honda civic ex. But i don't know how exacly to power my amp to were it wont overheat but my sub still hits hard...

Audioque 1200D, Audiopip AP15001D, MB Quart DSC1500D, the list goes on and on....
The amp he has now is fine. Once he sets the gain correctly, he might be happy. If not, he'll need to upgrade. After all, it's a single Type R. It's not going to jar potholes in the road...

Right now i have gain down not a lot tho and freq up just over half and and bass boost a little under half idk if it will overheat yet but it hits good with not to much bass boost. And If it does overheat i'm just going to get a new amp i'll let you know later how it goes.

Dude, you don't have a whole hell of a lot to work with. I don't know if your expectations are out of this world or what, but a single Type R on 500-600 watts is only going to do so much...
