Amp for 12" type R

I hope this is just someone trolling. If not, OP, you dont need a new amp. Your amp is perfect for that sub. Turn off bass boost completely, build a new box that is actually halfway decent, set gains with a DMM, and it will sound like a brand new system.

i missed the pic of his sub. i was thinking he was still up in the air as to whether it was a d2 or d4. being that it IS a d4 , the amp is fine. in fact i had the thunder 500d which is the older model of that amp and it powered 2 jbl power series 12's (The original 5 ohm models) very nicely in my old camaro. what he doesnt understand is that is a very hot amp in general. you could fry an egg on mine and it was only seeing 2.5 ohms , but it never failed. and if his amp is anything like my 500d was it is very underrated it puts out at least 100 more watts than its rated at. (take a look at the triple 25 amp fuses)
