Amp for (1) DD 1010

I am currently running an older Fosgate 700s and I think it just might be clipping it's *** off. I was thinking of getting new amp since this one has aged a lil bit, and was thinking of the Brutus 1208d or 1210. It runs 450w into 4 ohms, 900w into 2 ohms, and 1200w into 1. My sub is svc so do you think 450 is enough to run this on? I like the amp for the fact that it leaves room for expansion later, but if I need more power now then I will look at other options. What other amps would you suggest at a price comparable to this amp?

I ran my 1010 off of a Punch P5002 and that almost wasn't enough power @ 4 ohms! Don't get me wrong, it played pretty darn loud, but I could tell that the amp was running out of steam. Afterwards, I ran it off of a 25 to Life Punch 150 and that was almost too much power.

Im gonna be running a pg xenon 600.1 on mine giving it well over 600 watts. These things can handle some power.
