Amp fixing question

I bought my amp to a local repair shop, the guy tested all the transistors and told me which ones I need to order. (because his supplier doesn't carry these certain transistors)

I need these:

fb31n20d x 6

irf3205 x 4

I've been looking around and seeing lots of IRF3205PBF and IRFB31N20DPBF or other letter combinations after the actual one I need.

Will any of them work or do I need the exact part number?

I haven't looked very long, I just came across this.

irf3205 is obsolete. nte2991 is a replacement according to mouser.com theres a cheaper STMicro chip available too just search for "irf3205".

quick search didn't pull up anything for the other one. what kind of amp is it?

Its a Viper 2500D

Im looking at these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/IRFB31N20DPBF-FB31N20D_W0QQitemZ300201586843QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

It says the correct part number and the correct part number with PBF on the end.

Will it be okay?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Yes it "should" work. Don't know if they ship to canada but

is cheaper. I believe the PBF on the end means lead free so that it is RoHS compliant.

on a side note. I'm not sure how much you are paying for this repair but unless it is really cheap. I would take my business elsewhere. IMO finding and ordering parts should NOT be the customers responsibility.

Yeah, hes just charging me 60$ for labour. (To test everything and solder transistors)

I don't think its that bad...

I was quoted 300$ somewhere else.

So this way it will only be 100$ to 120$

Ok so I ordered the transistors.

Turns out to be 62$ shipped for all of them.

Thanks to everyone who helped in this thread. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
