hi

my brother bought me an SPL dynamics S1200D mono amp, and this amps got variable phase from 0 to 180 degrees, what exactly does this do.

im going to be running a sub in a ported box tuned to 35 Hz so what should i set the subsonic control to and also what should i set my LPF to.

i am also using a Phoenix Gold OCTANE-R 8.0:4 does this amp give out a clean signal as i have heard people say you can give your speakers more power then they are rated to if you give them clean power.

i need to get a new ANL fuse and i am confused at which rated fuse i should use, since i have 4 30Amp fuses in my mono amp and 2 30Amp fuses in my 4ch amp which equals 180Amp alltogether and i cant find any 180Amp fuses so which one should i use

thanks for the help:)

Phase refers to the position of the sine wave relative to time. The point is to minimize cancellation of frequencies from two sound waves that are out of phase with each other. Typically, the phase controls will have minimum impact, and will mostly affect the areas of the crossover frequencies. Your goal is to minimize cancellation near the crossover frequency, at the transition of sound from your mids to your subwoofers. Set the phase control to where it sounds best.

Settling on a crossover point is determined by many factors, including the speakers, box, etc. 80hz is a good starting point, and you can work from there. Again, set it where it sounds best to you. Too high, and it might sound boomy and bass may localize to the rear. Too low, and upper bass may be limited and the mids may not be able to keep up. For the subsonic filter, you'll want to limit uncontrolled excursion below the tuning frequency, so start there and work your way down.

As for the fuse, 150 or 200 amps will be fine. Just make sure you have adequate size cables, probably 2 gauge.
