So the story is that my JL 1000/1 amp whines at low volumes, well probably all the time but I only hear it when the volume is turned down..

It kind of follows the music in a way, when I skip a song it stops , well doesnt stop but kinda mutes a little, can barely still hear it , then it goes whining again..

I finished the BIG 3 today, still whined..

Re grounded, still whined..

Re routed RCAs to other side of truck, still whined..

So I'm trying to figure out what the hell is goin on with the amp and if you know what it is, around how much to fix you think??

this might be the problem.

try routing ur power wire from one side and ur HU to Amp wire from the other side. if the power wire and the hu to amp is close to each other they might couse this problem.
