Amp Draw From Alt

I was just looking at the Harrison Labs website and just noticed this. A thing called a flux cap? Is that just like a normal capacitor or what? Just tryin to find somethin to help with my alternator. I had it rewound but its still not working to well.

wierd. looks like a gimick. Seems to suggest it does a minor voltage stepping between your battery and your amp. Shows it being used with a regular capacitor too.

I'd just get a big ass capacitor. I got a 5 farad for 1500 watts b4 my secondary battery. No electrical upgrades needed for quite sometime.

Hell, go all out and get a stinger custom alternator. It turned out what i thouhgt it would be. It's funny how I didn't feel comfortable putting my alt in and neither did the audio shop. I had to force the shop to pay for towing to my audi dealer.

When you get a bigger alternator, don't forget to add an extra power cable from the alternator to the battery. The stock wires from the alternator weren't made to handle the extra current that a few big amplifiers can pull. I usually use a single 4 ga. or a couple 8 ga. wires to take some of the load off of the stock wires.
