New here, so don't attack me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

My setup WAS an Audiobahn A12001D amp powering an Audiobahn Alum 10x (800w) but the amp died recently, went strong for 6 years!

Audiobahn is gone but here are the specs of my old amp:

Peak Power: 400 Watts x 1

Output Details: 400 Watt - 4 Ohm - 1 channel(s), 750 Watt - 2 Ohm - 1 channel(s), 1200 Watt - 1 Ohm - 1 channel(s)

Output Power: 1200 Watt

Low Pass Frequencies: 50 - 250 Hz

Response Bandwidth: 10 - 40000 Hz

Bass Boost Frequency: 40 - 100 Hz

Bass Boost Gain: 0 to +18dB

Crossover Slope: 18 dB

Distortion Factor: 0.05 %

So since its been so long since I last bought an amp, I was wondering if I could get opinions on what i would need to power my sub without changing the sound too much. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I went to bestbuy and picked up a Rockford P300-1 mono amp, but now I am not sure if that will be good.

Questions:

1. Can the P300-1 power my Audiobahn 800w sub with no problems?

2. Will the class AB amp sound different then class D I am used to?

3. Any other brand suggestions?
