Hi, i have a P002 rockford fosgate amplifier powering a 12" rockford fosgate punch sub. When i fitted my second battery, my not very electricaly inteligant friend decided to short the battery to check if it was charged, with everything connected to it. So now my amplifier appears to be putting out a constant sine wave at max amplitude whenever its plugged in. I was just wondering what you guys think it could be? A nackerd input circut? When the power is connected to it but no signal its fine, as soon as the signals connected it goes starts blasting the driver at very fast oscilations.
However, when i decreace the gain on the amp, it seams to work, just not at a very a useable volume at all, as soon as the gain is increced to a certain level, im guessing where it was set origionaly, it starts to blast the driver.
Any ideas of what this could be? Or do i need a new amp now? Not very happy as it cost me £200 when new.
Cheers
