amp dead...

So fired up the boat today and the audio pipe amp is toast. Protect is solid and power is flashing like crazy. The sub makes a consistent popping sound. Unhooked both amps and plugged in just the other apsm1300 and everything was fine. I took the bad apsm1300 out and put it in my truck and got the same results.

Im guessing the humidity / moisture killed it? Gonna get a marine version of the apsm1300 and when the other one dies i will replace it with a marine version also... bummmmmer!

yea i can imagine that happening. Hopefully the marine version will prevent this from happening again. Ide go over the spot where there mounted and see if u can make it any more protected from water/humidity

PS- popping noises are never good lol

yea, most the amps in the boat are marine rated... the audiopipes were cheap and i didnt notice they make the exact samething in marine grade =( ....
