Amp Cutting Out

Yesterday my amp started cutting out above volume 50 (out of 62), this morning it was even worse cutting out no matter what volume. :verymad:It happens very randomly sometimes it will just hit one beat every second or so or sometimes it will make a run of like 10 seconds. I just installed the system a few days ago and it was working fine.Then I drove home(about an hour) and near the end of this hour it started cutting out. Pulled over and the amp wasnt hot to touch just sort of warm. My car, a 1998 Suzuki Esteem Wagon(dont laugh:emb has had a battery idicator on the dash since I bought it, dont know if that matters. So does anyone know the problem? Altenator possibly?

The system worked flawlessly in my old car.

Actually I've got worse problems now! Even the deck started cutting out and then the airbag and overdrive indicators came on. Then the whole car started jerking while driving forward. So I pulled over and turned the car off, then couldnt turn it back on. Boosted it and still couldnt drive forward and now had a CEL too...Looks like a deeper problem

check your voltage and temp of the amp

I would say at least its the alt maybe more.

Somewhere its either arking. Or you main ground is no bueno.
