amp cutting out :( help me!!!

I have a JL 500/1 hooked up to a old school w6 wired to 3 ohms.

I can Play it fine for about 20-30 mins high volume. Then the amp cuts in and.out.

No protection lights. Only thing iI can think of is that my speaker wire is too small. Its a temporary wire till i get back.home. could that be the cause even though it'll play for a while then start.

Also the amp wont come on unless the signal sensing is off. If thag hhelps any.

Pioneer headunit 4v outs. My highs amp stays on when it happens so im completely confused.

Input sens: low

Gain: slightly less than half

No bass bboost

0 gauge wire to batcap.

4 gauge to highs amp and the jl 500

Ugh! I was hoping it wasn't the amp..I just bought it locally off CL

is it being cooled properly? what ohm load is it seeing? sounds like its overheating.

Yep Its nowhere near hot. 3 ohm load. Still cool. It just starts cutting out randomly

re check all your grounds etc, then when it's still broken send it in for repair.

Grounds and wires are all good, from what I see, could iit be my settings? Gain slightly less than hhalf. Should the input sens be high?

And now its cutting out instantly when I crank the volume
