Amp cutting off!!!

Alright here is my setup:

1 viper 600.1D running 2 Kicker CVR 12's

1 Xplod 500 4ch runinng 4 Xplod 5X8's

My amps + & - both run straight to 2 batteries located in the bed of my truck. I have ran this setup without trouble for about 2 months, but recently the Xplod has been truning off while hard bass is hit. The viper still runs so all i hear is bass untill the bass line is over then the xplod turns back on. seems like you have a voltage drop which is affecting the xplod amp. the amp is designed to operate within a certain voltage range. when operating outside that voltage range, the amp may cutt off.

But it just started and I have 2 batteries so what could cause that?

I believe so...when the cars is off both batteries are at 12.58. Could it be that my alt is dying andisnt pumpin enough juice ne more?

bad wiring some where maybe. I would check all of the connections to make sure that they're all tight.

It is a low voltage problem that you have. Just because you have two batteries does not mean that you have limitless power on tap. All you have done is compounded a problem. Batteries do not creat power, they store it. You are taxing your alternator way beyond it's normal limits by trying to run the vehicle, the stereo and charge 3 batteries. Eliminate those two batteries and the draw they place on the alternator. Get yourself one good battery and a HO alternator. Do the BIG3 if you have not done it yet. I can see the additional batteries there if you plan on running the stereo with the engine off, but if the engine is on, all they are doing is damage without a proper isolator and a alternator that can deliver enough current to do it properly.

ok, its a stock alternator so should i get an isolator and if that doesnt help change the alternater?

now u need a good alt. THat is why are gettin voltage drops. But if u get a good alt then u will not need the 2nd battery.

SO i laymen's terms what I am saying is get a good a good alt.
