Amp cuts on then off. Need help

Im gunna give a little background on how i think it happend.

My friend was looking at my subs and when he turned them, it pulled the wires very taught. And when i cut the car on the amo power light would blink once, then go out... It was like this for about a month, then today my buddy looked at it and said the fuse popped out. He pushed it back in, and the amp/subs started working. ONce i turned the base up, I heard a slight *puff*( almost like a farting sound) from the subs and they cut off. Now the amp light blinks and then cuts off... ANyone know whats wrong? Im not quite sure what im looking for...

hmm...sounds like something wrong with your remote wire connection. Or maybe something worse. I know my amp sorta did the same thing because the remote wire was loose in the back of the deck and whenever the bass hit it rattled the stereo which in turn made the wire slip out of place. Or it could be a semi disconnected power wire thats sorting. Check your wiring everywhere to make sure that nothing is loose or disconnected then fix it also check all your fuses to see if they are still good. If that doesnt work then you might wanna take it to your local audio shop.

check the fuse on the amp also the fuse on the wire..might be blown caused by the short circuit.check also your wires especially your ground on the chassis.then hollaback buddy..lol

were going out to check it in about an hour...ill let you guys know whats up.

so we looked at it, pulled the fuse out of amp and put it back in. Switch the line in/line out cables, and right now its working. After heavy running i get a little smell from the amp, but im guessing i jsut need to run the bass boost lower
