Does an amplifier draw the same amount of power from a cars electical system at all ohms or is the power draw less at 4 ohms vs 1 or 2 ohms?
the lower the ohm load on the amp, the more power it will drawDoes an amplifier draw the same amount of power from a cars electical system at all ohms or is the power draw less at 4 ohms vs 1 or 2 ohms?
The battery current is a function of output power and efficiency. Lower ohm loads allow more output power, which draws more input power.Does an amplifier draw the same amount of power from a cars electical system at all ohms or is the power draw less at 4 ohms vs 1 or 2 ohms?
Methinks that 5000 is a typo (should be 500)..the lower the ohm load on the amp, the more power it will draw
say for instance the AQ2200
2200 rms @ 1 ohm
1200 rms IIRC @ 2 ohm
5000 rms @ 4 ohm
Lmfao yes it was a typo.. Hahaha **** my bad. I wish it did 5k at 4. That'd be lovelyThe battery current is a function of output power and efficiency. Lower ohm loads allow more output power, which draws more input power.
