Amp Cooling Fans?

Since I'll be running my DLS A6 at 1 ohms, its gonna get really hot. I see that there are terminal connections for a fan, where would I buy one? Would I just place it ontop of the amp? Is it necessary? Thanks

in the manual for that amp it says that the fan terminal is operated by the temperature of the amp. meaning it will only come on when necessary and the speed of the fan is controlled by the temp of the amp. the only thing you have to make sure is not to exceed the maximum amperage of the fan terminal which is .5 amps. i myself would rather use that then a switch.

go to your local radio shack and tell them you need a couple of 12v fans that won't draw over .5amps total they should be able to help you
I dunno how the radio shacks in kansas are, but up here, they dont know anything. I went there to get some rca's for my home audio and I asked them what type of rca I should use, and they were like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

on page 4 of the manual i posted for you it shows me a pos and neg from your "fan terminal" so no u shouldn't need a ground and as for the fuse that's if you go with the relay way in which i said you should contact dls first which was the second link i posted for you to make sure it can be done.

okay, I think I'll leave it the way DLS said, let the amp decide when to turn it on, so I would just simply connect both wires into the amp, can I connect both fans to a central neg/pos line and then connect that to it. If I use a bigger gauge, will it have any effect on anything?

Ie connect both neg/pos of both fans(say 24awg) to 1 neg/pos wire(16awg) and connect that to the amp? The manual says a maximum of .5 amps. If I use 2 fans that are .25A each, then am I fine or cutting it close?
